Why Bloggers Should Use Twitter?
You should use Twitter for your blog?
Believe or not, within the past five days, I’ve made 15 new connections from just spending 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the evening. I’ve engaged with new conversations and some new business opportunities have arisen. People want to work with me and this is all from just a bit of networking.
I’ve mentioned it before and I’ll say it again: “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know”.
Building a business requires: leads and networking in order to be successful. Twitter is a great platform for this. Of course, you need to invest in some effort, but trust me, in 30 minutes a day and a bit of will power you can generate some good leads. Work on using Twitter for 30 days, set yourself a challenge and network with one person a day. It’s not that hard.
Here are few reasons why a blogger must use Twitter:
- Twitter users will retweet great content
If you’re a blogger and you generate great content, your followers will retweet and share it with their followers. This is known as viral marketing. If done correctly viral marketing can be very powerful. Retweeting is about sharing with others. - Build your network with other Twitter users
Twitter is the place to be to build good relationships. The beauty of Twitter is you can have a network of contacts globally as well as locally. I was so surprised to find an Internet Marketer that has the same interests, is the same age and only 50 miles away from me. Usually a lot of my networks are abroad. - A great place for bloggers to develop business opportunities
If you are generating some great content it is likely you will be invited to write guest posts, be interviewed or sponsor a competition. These are all opportunities to increase your brand awareness. If promoted well by both parties it could be worth your while.
- Become an industry specialist
If your a blogger that would like to be seen as an industry specialist Twitter is a great opportunity to do this. Help out people in your niche and work at it. Plant the seeds for success by helping others. In time to come, your audience will respect you. Share your knowledge and expertise they will thank you for it, with retweets and social bookmarks. - Use Twitter for inspiration
You can use Twitter to learn from others and to be inspired. “Inspiration provides creation”. Just by reading some headlines on Twitter you may wish to dive deeper into the topic and be inspired to write a new blog post or learn more about that subject or even contribute to the conversation at hand.
Twitter is a great tool to develop relationships and opportunities online. Think of Twitter as the world’s biggest networking event where everyone is invited from CEO’s of massive companies to one man bands.
