Now is the time to create a successful online presence
How can I create a successful online presence in a recession?
Currently, the global economy is in a unstable state. I am not going to add to the misery of the current state of affairs. However, we all must realise that a recession can also bring new opportunities. Think about it. We currently live in a time where information is so valuable. The information age is the greatest time to be born in, and many of us don’t even realise it. We can find information at the click of a button. Many people have found wealth over the Internet too.
Educate your target audience
If you have a blog or website or even thinking of creating one there is no better time than now. The beauty of having a website or blog you don’t need to sell a produce, you can sell ideas through your content.
Remember the old cliche: “Knowledge is power”, although I somewhat agree with this. Knowledge is potential power, because we’ve got to apply it. Under the current circumstances of recession and economic downturn, people will be willing to learn new information to better themselves financially and find methods of getting out of the rat race. If you have some interesting content that people are searching for. Why not create a blog or website?
Network
Regardless of a recession or not, you should always be networking. One of the most valuable assets is having good solid networks. The old cliche: “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know”. Although the people you network with may not be interested in buying from you today. You never know what tomorrow will bring. Plus you may never know who they bump into and can recommend your services. Networking is a numbers game, however, it is great to know lots of people that can advertise your services for free.
Network with other bloggers, network with your commenter’s. Always remember that whoever you come in contact with, treat them like the most important person on Earth and you will get much better results.
Make your blog serve a purpose
What is your blog about? Does it serve the needs of your target audience? Can you address the needs of your readers even more? Why not conduct a poll or survey and find out what your audience’s needs are?
Address your target audience’s needs and they will be delighted. Chances are that your audience will become loyal customers. Finally, nurture this relationship with your target audience. Supply good, quality content on a regular basis. Provide your audience with the answers to their problems and you will be able to harvest a successful blog. All it involves is the determination to reach your goals and the continued learning process. In the long term, you will reap the seeds that you have sown.
Times maybe hard and people are tightening their belts financially. This doesn’t stop with the desire of personal self-development. When the grass begins to grow and the economy begins to improve, if you’ve successfully educated your blog readers and have a selection of services or products to sell. Your readers are more likely to be purchasing products from you.
People buy from who they trust
Customers like to buy from people that they trust. There is nothing worst than giving your details to people that you don’t trust. We all like to be assured that who we buy from will give us the best service that we can buy. One of the most important factors that anyone can do is serve the customer better than anyone else. We are talking about blogging or having a website here, even if you are selling an idea, you should be creating the best content that you possibly can.
Finally, it maybe tough times ahead. One of the best things that we can do is to develop as wiser people, give the best that we can to our readers and help them learn. Sooner or later they will accept your generosity and tell others about it too.
One final thought, focus on being a giver and not a taker.
