Blogging for success

Over the past few months, I’ve encountered people that are interested in creating a website or blog, so that they can create lots of money. Their primary motivation is to get rich and rich quickly. There is no problem in creating to a blog to make money, however, the problem is that people expect to make a vast amount of money with in minimal time and effort.

Reality check, it takes a lot of time, dedication and effort to create an online presence and especially make huge sums of money from blogging. Some people will tell you it is easy, because they are willing to sell you poor information to line their pockets. Don’t fall for it!

A brain surgeon, makes a vast amount of money per year, because he/she has spent many years training at personal expense for that profession. If a brain surgeon has to study and train for 10/15 years, to earn that amount of money, then anyone expecting to make a fortune in blogging without any experience is not being realistic. You need to train, educate and be motivated in order to succeed.

Be realistic

The atmmultimedia blog has been online 6 months now and is starting to get noticed in Technorati, Google and starting to build traffic. Set realistic goals for your blog. It will take a while for a blog to become successful. Think of blogging as a long-term investment. In the beginning, your blog will be slow process. When you start marketing your blog this is when you’ll start to enjoy blogging. The traffic will increase and your target audience will grow.

Once your target market begins to grow, you will be more motivated to continue blogging. There will be days when it is quiet and days when it is effortless.  The key to successful blogging is enjoy writing, be creative and never, ever give up. You will succeed.

Review your goals

Reviewing goals is important, otherwise why set them? When you review goals you can see whether you are getting closer to your target. Write your goals down on a sheet of paper and review your targets daily. Whatever, your blog goals are make sure you do something to attain them. Once you build momentum blogging will be so much more enjoyable and exciting.

Think long term with blogging. Overnight blogging successful is unlikely.

How long are you doing to attain your blog goals? Are you on track? Do you review your goals?

Exactly! If anyone tells you otherwise, then it’s probably too good to be true.

It takes more than efforts and time to succeed. The key is passion. If you don’t enjoy what you are blogging about, everything else will just fall apart.

    Hi Yan,

Your welcome. Communication with readers is an important factor in blogging. The readers keep me motivated and help me generate new content.

If it wasn’t for readers commenting, the atmmultimedia blog wouldn’t be as successful. As it is starting to grow.

As part of your reality check, blogging for money actually means that you’re going to have to blog.

A good measure is every 2-3 days, even better everyday if you can. Personally, I write a post of over 700 words each day.

Start by asking yourself this question, can you do the same or not?

It may not be very difficult to do, but it still represents and amount of work.

It shouldn\’t come as any sort of surprise that people are ignorant. It takes time to make it in this field. You will not see a paycheck tomorrow after building a blog today. In time, however, you may.
