blogging is hard

Blogging for success

You’ve created a new blog, that’s the easy part. The real work is yet to come. Being a successful blogger you need to: generate new content on a regular basis, apply search engine optimisation, market your blog, educate yourself in your niche and network.

Blogging is a discipline

Blogging is worth doing, I am sure there are times where you feel stuck and running out of ideas. This can be tough. Don’t feel bad every blogger on the face on this Earth has suffered from writer’s block and some point or another. Just remember why you are blogging? Hopefully my reasons will help you to motivate yourself:

  1. Build an online presence
  2. Set up my own business
  3. In the long term have more time and money to travel the world
  4. Be able to quit my job and live under my terms
  5. Become an expert in my field
  6. Generate leads
  7. Create a useful blog that people will visit again and again
  8. Clients will be head hunting me instead of me looking for them
  9. Improve my SEO skills
  10. Improve my portfolio and skill set

When you feel like giving up look at your reasons for blogging. Motivate yourself and never give up. If you quit you’ll never reach your goals. I suggest that you create a list of reasons why you are blogging?. When you feel like throwing the towel in, just review your reasons for blogging. My main reason for blogging is to become self-employed and leave my current job. Creating a blog does take time and effort, but stick with it and you’ll be fine.

Blogging is a long term business model

Blogging involves determination, heart and hard work. Success doesn’t come without effort. If your overweight and want to be slim you need to work at it. Blogging is a journey. I enjoy blogging not just for me but for other bloggers too. So motivation is not difficult but finding new content is. However, there are times when I am tired from working, just out of creative flow or the can’t be bothered to sit in front of a computer. That’s the time to time a break.

Some alternatives from blogging in front of your computer
When I struggle to sit in front of a computer and eager to create a blog post. I opt for a change of scenery, being in the same room for 37 hours a week (like work) may feel like a prison sentence. If you are committed to your blog, try writing a blog post in a coffee shop, or on your mobile phone whilst on a walk.

I do enjoy writing with a pen and paper, but using my iPhone for blogging is ideal. The blog post is already in an electronic format and allows me to transfer posts via my iPhone to WordPress.

Struggling for ideas?
When struggling for ideas on your blog read some other blogs. The Internet is the best place to research and learn new content. Blogging is all about learning plus you’ll generate new ideas and have your creative juices flowing in no time.

You may have lots of commitments such as: in a relationship, member of club, married, got kids, in full time education and so on. Just remember, if you want something bad enough you’ll make it a priority. It is more likely in the summer months that bloggers may neglect their blog. I am not going to neglect my blog, because my reasons for blogging are too strong. There are so many reasons why I need to blog. Force yourself to be successful. Although in the short time, you’ll have to put out loads of effort, it will be worth it.

In the summer months, it maybe hard to write some blog posts as you may want to be outside. The best thing to do is to rearrange your timetable, you may want to blog later in the evening when it is cooler, take your laptop outside or just jot some notes down with a pen and paper and type these up some point in the day.

There are lots of bloggers out there. I would love to hear your reasons why your blogging, how you overcome creative block? and why you continue blogging?  This is a dofollow blog, please comment and you’ll receive a backlink. Thanks.

I blog simply because I absolutely love blogging but if I have to choose other reasons than it would be “Turn a blog into a full time business” and “Make money”

    Hi Salwa,

Your very welcome, I love blogging too, it is about giving to the online community. I really want to start up a business and this is one one method, however, I know that will come all in good time.

    Thanks for the comment,

Money is what a lot of people do blogging for, but it is getting your blog in a sutiable state to prepare to make money, too many people make it sound to be easy, and it is not as easy as people think.
