Backlink building is the lifeblood of our business. I don’t do much blog commenting nowadays preferring to focus on getting quality links vs quantity links. Points 2,5 and 6 have limited value: most seo-orientated articles are amateurish and not worth reading; forums generally use nofollow; backlinks from directories have limited importance as most are low PR.

This is interesting, I’ve never heard that one before, however, some blogs use a nofollow on blog comments, to maintain their Google PageRank.

That will be great to see. I am looking for ways to increase my traffic. Commenting requires a lot of effort in order to be successful.

For your commenting. Directories as a good source of backlinks.

take a look description and listing site inside the directory, if have a lot spam keywords or not related category, just forget to submit your link there.
