Want more visits on your blog? want to increase traffic? You need to increase backlinks. Backlinks are the gateway to your blog from other sites on the web. The Internet is made up of links. Think of the Internet as a road system where we travel from one destination to another.
The more quality links that we have to our blog or website, the more likely we will get more traffic. Some of these techiques require more time than others. Just remember you will get out what you put it.
Here are 10 simple ways to build backlinks.
1. Comment on blogs
Commenting on blogs is an easy way of building links. Provide useful feedback on your comments, so that, you will gain some traffic.
2. Article submissions
Write an article on your favourite topic and post it on an article directory. Some articles may use a no follow link, however, you may still gain some traffic.
3. Create a tutorial
If your blog is about: web design, HTML, Photoshop, PHP or any other web design based blog, create a tutorial and submit it to other tutorial sites. In previous years, I created a video tutorial on Photoshop, linked the tutorial on Good-tutorials.com and got over 1500 visits in 12 hours.
4. Link exchange with other bloggers
Create a link exchange with other bloggers. However, only create link exchanges with relevant blogs. There is no point on linking to a blog on fashion if your blog is about web design.
5.Use signatures in forums
If you use a forum I am member of several forums.Include your URL in your signature and profile.
6. Submit to directories
Submit your blog to directories, a good place to start would DMOZ. Then visit Vilesilencer: The Original SEO Friendly Free Directory List.
7. Promote your blog content at Blog Catalog
Become a member of Blog Catalog, this is an awesome site, where bloggers meet and promote others blogs. This is the best move I've made to increase readership.
8. create a free product
Create a free e-book, this can be done in Word then published as a PDF. Everyone loves something for nothing. Backlinks is a good reward.
9. Guest posts
Create some guest posts. Recently I've appeared on three blogs, with SEO tips and promotion online. Although the traffic may not be huge, however, those backlinks are embedded in the articles I've written, allowing Google to increase my ranking.
10. Set up a blog on Wordpress.com
Go to wordpress.com and create a simple blog. This is free and create some blog posts and link to your blog. The Wordpress site has a PageRank of 9, therefore, this will be a good strong link.
There are many ways to gain more backlinks. What methods do you use? Care to share any hints? If so, place a comment and you will get a link to your blog or site. The atmmultimedia.com does use do-follow, so it will help your PageRank.
I would say that commenting on blogs, forums (I have some I do mini post on), and bookmarking have done well for me.
Sometimes it just takes so long to find good articles to post on. I am working on making that easier but, for now, I just keep searching until I find good ones of interest.

take a look description and listing site inside the directory, if have a lot spam keywords or not related category, just forget to submit your link there.

This is a reasonable list of suggestions, but it’s far from exhaustive and doesn’t mention social marketing.
Points 2,5 and 6 have limited value: most seo-orientated articles are amateurish and not worth reading; forums generally use nofollow; backlinks from directories have limited importance as most are low PR.

Backlink building is the lifeblood of our business. I don’t do much blog commenting nowadays preferring to focus on getting quality links vs quantity links. I just joined a backlink building program and I wrote about it too. Do take a look at a different way of building high PR6-9 backlinks which I have seen very good results.
